چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Lupus nephritis (LN) is a severe renal manifestation of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that negatively impacts morbidity mortality; however, real-world data for LN scarce. This study describes: the proportion patients with SLE managed by rheumatologists (rheum-managed) nephrologists (neph-managed) class III–V; Safety Estrogens in Erythematosus National Assessment - Disease Activity Index (SELENA-SLEDAI) score ≥8 region; extra-renal organ systems involvement flaring EQ-5D EQ-visual analogue scale (VAS) scores estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). Method Data were drawn from Adelphi Specific Programme, cross-sectional, multi-subscriber survey physicians their consulting conducted April 2021–May 2022 China, Japan, EU5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain UK) USA. Physicians provided demographic clinical 5–6 consecutive adult SLE/LN. III–V was assessed physician at collection. SELENA-SLEDAI derived assessment patients’ current manifestations. Patients had opportunity to complete an form. All analyses descriptive. Results Overall, 9% (183/2148) rheum- 48% (364/766) neph-managed LN. Most (70% 76% neph-managed; Table 1), compared (1032/2148) rheum-managed alone. The varied region, 58% USA 87% China. In total, 62% 43% ever flared (any system; 1). who ranged 52% China + Japan 75% EU5. currently experiencing flare similar between (31%) (35%) patients, but highest (59%) lowest (18%). subgroups ≥15 EQ-VAS generally worsened as eGFR lowered (Figure Conclusion high disease burden (SELENA-SLEDAI ≥8) suggesting need more efficacious treatments

associated symptoms in patients with nephritis (5). Variability in these findings can be explained by the different ethnic background of the studied sample. We have studied associated symptoms in 71 patients with lupus nephritis and 142 SLE patients without renal involvement. This sample includes all lupus patients with nephritis followed in the last five years in our service, with biopsy prove...
متن کاملAssociation of Urinary Lipocalin-2 with Lupus Nephritis
Objective(s): Lupus nephritis (LN) is the main cause of mortality and disability in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients. Therefore, utilizing a reliable and non-invasive method for serial measurements of renal function seems to be necessary. The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of urinary lipocalin-2 as a biomarker of renal involvement in SLE patients. Materi...

OBJECTIVE To clarify the characteristics of renal haemodynamics in patients with lupus nephritis (LN). METHODS The glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and renal plasma flow (RPF) of 37 patients with active LN were studied longitudinally over an interval of 8 to 144 weeks during treatment with corticosteroids or cytotoxic drugs, or both. All patients had clinical renal disorders and underwent ren...

Renal involvement in Systemic Lupus Erythematous (SLE) patients is one of the leading causes of morbidity and a significant contributor to mortality. It's estimated that nearly 50% of SLE individuals develop kidney disease in the first year of the diagnosis. Class IV lupus nephritis (LN-IV) is the class of lupus nephritis most common in Colombian patients with SLE. Altered miRNAs expression lev...
